This privacy policy describes how eWynk: AI Growth & Analytics (“eWynk”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), developed by RemoveQ Technology Private Limited, collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you install and use our Shopify application. This policy applies to merchants who install eWynk from the Shopify App Store and to their customers whose data may be processed through the app.
1. Information We Collect

- Product data (product titles, quantities, prices)
- Store data (shop name, currency, domain)
- Traffic source data (UTM parameters, referral sources)

b) Information collected directly from merchants:
No additional personal information is collected from merchants beyond what Shopify provides during app installation and authentication.

No cookies are set by eWynk. We use Shopify's official Web Pixel API, which operates within Shopify's privacy-compliant sandbox.
2. How We Use the Information
We use the information collected solely to provide the app's analytics services:
- Dashboard analytics — Displaying store performance metrics (revenue, orders, AOV, conversion rate)
- Conversion funnel analysis — Tracking the customer journey from page view to purchase
- Customer intelligence — Analyzing customer purchase behavior, retention, and lifetime value
- Product analytics — Evaluating product performance and generating product scores
- Store health reports — Generating daily/weekly store health digests
- AI-powered insights — Using Google Gemini AI to generate actionable growth recommendations based on aggregated store data
- Usage tracking — Monitoring order counts and AI insight usage to enforce plan limits
We do not use your data for:
- Advertising or marketing purposes
- Selling or renting to third parties
- Profiling individual customers for purposes unrelated to your store's analytics
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to provide our app functionality:
| Service | Purpose | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| Google Gemini AI | AI-powered insights and recommendations | Aggregated, anonymized store metrics (revenue totals, order counts, product performance summaries). No personally identifiable customer information is sent. |
| ClickHouse Cloud | High-performance analytics data storage | Pixel event data (anonymous session IDs, page URLs, event types) |
We do not share, sell, or transfer personal data to any other third parties.
4. Data Storage and Retention
Pixel event data is stored in ClickHouse Cloud with retention periods based on your subscription plan:
- Starter plan: 30 days
- Growth plan: 90 days
- Ultimate plan: 1 year
- Session and authentication data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database on our servers.
- AI-generated insights are stored as Shopify metaobjects within your own Shopify store.
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
- Our servers are hosted in secure, SOC 2 compliant data centers.
5. Data Access and Control
As a merchant, you have full control over your data:
- Access: You can view all data collected by eWynk through the app's dashboard within Shopify Admin.
- Deletion: Uninstalling the app will automatically cancel your subscription. You may request complete deletion of your data by contacting us at [email protected].
- Portability: Paid plans include data export functionality (CSV/PDF) to download your analytics data.
6. Customer Data Rights (GDPR, CPRA, and Other Privacy Laws)
We comply with applicable data privacy regulations including GDPR, CPRA, and other privacy laws:
- Customer data requests: When a customer requests access to their personal data, Shopify notifies us via the
customers/data_requestwebhook. Since eWynk only stores aggregated, anonymized analytics data, no personally identifiable customer information is retained in our systems. - Customer data deletion (Right to Erasure): When a customer requests deletion of their data via the
customers/redactwebhook, we process the request. As we do not store personally identifiable customer data, no individual records require deletion. - Shop data deletion: When a merchant uninstalls the app, we receive the
shop/redactwebhook within 48 hours and delete all data associated with that shop, including session data, pixel tracking status, and usage records.
All data subject requests are processed within 30 days of receipt.
7. Data Processing Location
Data may be processed and stored in the following regions:
- Application servers: Cloud infrastructure (may include US and EU regions)
- ClickHouse Cloud: Data stored based on cluster region
- Google Gemini AI: Processed by Google's API infrastructure
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), data transfers outside the EEA are conducted in compliance with applicable data transfer mechanisms.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- All API communications are encrypted using TLS 1.2+
- Webhook signatures are verified using HMAC-SHA256 to prevent unauthorized access
- Access to data is restricted to authorized personnel only
- We do not store Shopify access tokens beyond what is required for app functionality
- Regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure
9. Children's Privacy
eWynk does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. Our services are intended for Shopify merchants who are business operators.
